introduction
THIS PART OF NEWFORMULA IS NOW IN COLD STORAGE. I decided to move everything over to wordpress, with a clean start. Old posts are now under archive here, but for the latest please visit newformula.org
good day to all. so i havent updated much recently, not because i dont have access to the net- but simply when i find somewhere i can hook my iBook up to i don't really feel like writing for some reason. anyway, rehoboth, DE, is pretty cool. i get to work mornings or afternoons, about 6 or 7 hours a day, then spend the rest of the time as i wish. so far this has involved the beach and spending money, however the latter has to stop soon, but i am enjoying the beach a lot. i just hope i will get more used to the heat as the summer goes on.
not much is new really. i am living with 8 other students (so far) who are all cool, easy to get along with in varying degrees so thats fine, and there isnt all that much drama really. kinda what i wanted. i am also now the proud owner of a bike, an oh so sweet cruiser thats is all chromed out. ok i am making it sound amazing, but it was 100 bucks from K Mart, so its not that great, just way more stylish than everyone elses. well, now i have to go make coffees.
cant be arsed to write anything. anyways, i am about 15 metres from the beach, i made it to delaware ok, i am now working my butt off for cash, and the sun has just started shining. i will be more detailed next time i promise. rejoin me tomorrow for an update. laters.
an update finally to the webpage. currently been fiddling with 3 computers for the last 3 hours getting my sisters iBook up and ready for my trip abroad. I am swapping my sweet iMac for her little 12" iBook which is so cool. I think she is looking forward to using my computer for the next 3 months, i mean, just look at how freakin amazing the thing is. OK, starting to sound a little geeky. move on.
on other things- just been to the grandparents last night, i haven't seen them since xmas so that was pretty good to see them. they are so good for their age, especially grandad, i mean he is 80 and has just built a double garage and converted his old garage into an annexe with kitchen, bedroom, lounge, the works, well impressive.
looks like a busy week of organisation and helping the parents out ahead of me. should be fun. riiight
oh yeah, and i don't think i mentioned i went to trash on monday. that was cool, again at the end which is a great venue, but it was just too damn trendy for my liking- the people i mean, and more specifically the haircuts and style. It brought back memories of walking around reading at festival time where its clear those who are trying to hard to look individual and different, yet they all end up looking the same. i mean i know i am not exactly that stylish or anything, but i don't try at all with my 'look', i mean i don't have one, its just me. i just buy things i like the look of, and thats what i wear. so it seems for all the effort that goes into it, it just goes unrewarded. thats my take on that.
so yeah, the boat party. it was pretty damn cool- we managed to rock the place pretty well, weren't too bad at playing all good tunes, although i forced myself to play the new timberlake record, not once but twice. i know i know, its justin timberlake, but it was produced by the neptunes, and the girls were loving it...
the weather was great too. i got the chance to play some great deep and soulful house for about an hour while the sun set over london, and that was the best part of my evening, a few people were feeling that music which was very satisfying... shame about the cheese needed for people to dance after that though, bloody students.
too many people bitched at us though. pissed me off. i did get some nice complements too, which made up for it :)
now i am just kind of in a weird period, nothing much seems to be going on, and i have stuff to do but just cant be arsed to get into clothes needed for going outside rather than bumming around the flat, and actually do it. never mind.
